some teeth are for tearing
some teeth are for tearing
a list of almosts
to keep my hands steady I
need to repent
things I am sure of
your teeth whites were a disguise
within your mouth endless
strings of maybes and perhapses
can I be
even without this?
there are places of you
that are hot
scalding
there are places within you
where I need to return
to carry this heart, this
beating within the basket of my ribs
a whole string of almosts from my body
